Why four wheel alignment
Having a four wheel alignment check should be part of any
responsible motorists servicing procedure. By having your vehicle
checked annually or every 15,000 miles you can:
Reduce Tyre Wear
Improper alignment is a major cause of premature tyre wear. Over the
years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to tyre
life.
Reduce Fuel Consumption
Fuel consumption decreases as rolling resistance decreases. Four
wheel alignment sets all four wheels parallel, which along with
proper tyre pressures minimises the rolling resistance.
Improve Handling
Does your car pull to one side? Does the steering wheel vibrate? Do
you constantly have to move the steering wheel to keep your car
travelling straight ahead? Many handling problems can be corrected
by four wheel alignment. With all the system components aligned
properly, road shock is more efficiently absorbed for a smoother
ride.

Ensure Safer Driving
A suspension system inspection is part of our alignment procedure.
This allows us to spot worn parts before they cause costly problems.
What to expect from a four wheel alignment service from College
Tyres
The Hunter wheel alignment system measures 14 different angles such
as camber, caster, thrust line, set back and of course toe in or toe
out of each wheel measured against the vehicle centre line for all
four wheels. Comparisons are then made with the vehicle
manufacturers’ data. The initial measurement should take no more
than 15 – 30 minutes. The alignment technician will then be able to
discuss the findings with you and which adjustments should or can be
made.
When the alignment adjustments are complete, you will be presented
with your personalised printout, showing the ‘before and after’
measurements, which should be kept with your vehicle servicing
records. It is your guarantee that the work has been carried out to
your satisfaction.
